The ingredients needed to make Caramel bread pudding :
- Use 1 of .Bread -4 slices(Remove the brown side and break it to pieces).
- Use 2 of . Egg - 3.
- You need 3 of . Milk - 3/4 cup.
- You need 4 of . Milk powder - 2 tbsp.
- Use 5 of . Condensed milk - 1/4 cup.
- Prepare 6 of . Sugar - 5 tbspn.
- Get 7 of . Cardamom powder - 2 pinch.
- Take 8 of . Vanilla essence - 1/4 tspn.
- Get 9 of . Sugar - 3 tbsp (for making caramel).
- Use 10 of . Clarified butter/ghee - 1/2 tspn (for greasing the pan).
Instructions to make Caramel bread pudding :
- Blend all the above ingredients, except 3 tbsp sugar and clarified butter/ghee, till well combined in a mixer. Keep it aside.
- Grease a bowl or cake tin with clarified butter/ghee and keep it ready.
- Heat a non stick pan over medium flame, add 3 tbspn sugar and cook till light golden brown. Pour this to the greased pan and spread all over.
- Pour the blended bread - egg mixture to this and cover it with aluminium foil.
- Steam it in a steamer, with enough water in it, for about 30 -35 minutes or till done.
- Check it by inserting tooth pick at the centre of the pudding, if it comes out clean, it is perfectly done.
- Remove it from steamer and leave it to cool for about half an hour. You can refrigerate it for 15 minutes. Serve cooled.
