- Get 8-10 of bread slices.
- Prepare 4 of medium sized potatoes (boiled and mashed).
- Get 1/2 tsp of grated ginger.
- Take 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
- You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Provide 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
- Use 1 tsp of chaat masala.
- Use 1/4 tsp of black pepper powder (optional).

- Provide of Oil for shallow frying or deep frying.

- Break the bread slices and grind them to get bread crumbs.
- In a big mixing bowl add bread crumbs, boiled and mashed potato and all the ingredients of making tikkis, except oil.
- Mix everything very well. If the mixture is getting too dry the you can sprinkle some water or if it gets sticky then 1 tbsp cornflour can be added.
- Take a portion and shape it into a tikki. Make all the bread tikkis like so.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan on medium flame. Place the bread tikkis on pan. Shallow fry the tikkis from both the sides till they get crisp and nice golden brown colour.
- Place the bread tikkis in serving plates.
- Top them with green chutney, tamarind chutney, whisked yoghurt, chopped onion and nylon sev.
- Lastly sprinkle some black salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder, chopped coriander and enjoy this tempting bread tikki chaat.
